If you have an old second refrigerator or freezer parked in your garage keeping your soda pop or ice cream cold, it's probably costing you more money than you think. Did you know that it could use up to five times more electricity than a newer model? Wabash County REMC's appliance recycling program offers our members a quick and easy way to reduce your energy bill. Recycling your old working refrigerator or stand-alone freezer is:
Economical – Not only will you save money on your electric bill each monthly, but you'll receive a $35 bounty on your old appliance.
Convenient - We'll come and pick up your appliance for free, at a day and time that works for you.
Environmentally Responsible – We'll recycle over 95% of the appliance materials, and dispose of any hazardous materials according to EPA guidelines.

Residential:
Water Heater/Heat Pump Rebate
Electric Water Heater – $100 Rebate – New construction or 10+ years electric replacement or gas replacement
Geothermal – $150/ton – $750 maximum
Air Source Heat Pump – (min. 15 SEER) – $125/ton $625 maximum – ARI Certificate required
Wabash County REMC no longer sells water heaters.
